In October 2022, with the approval of The National Treasury and Economic Planning, Anzetse Were in her capacity as Senior Economist at FSD Kenya, initiated an important project that could transform the sustainable development landscape in Kenya.
The first of its kind, the project assesses the scale, features, and projects of the green bond opportunity in 10 counties in Kenya.
Other partners in the project include the Capital Markets Authority (Kenya), the Nairobi Securities Exchange, ADA Consortium and the lead consultant Agusto&Co.
During the Africa Climate Summit, The National Treasury and Economic Planning hosted an event to discuss the importance of this project during which Anzetse Were also shared some of the emerging insights from this work.
